I'm not a fan of this app. First, they do not allow connections via VPN. Huge fail there. Anyone who knows anything about crypto will use a VPN and blocking those connections will not help with user acquisition.

Next, they only provide up to 20x leverage. That's better than nothing, but it makes me much less likely to want to use them, when I can get 100x elsewhere.

The yield is also a little high, which means that the users are paying for that in one form or another.

On the upside, I do like that they aren't using Oracles and price discovery seems to be organic on the platform. This means that there could be some arbitrage opportunities.

But overall, I'm not excited about this.

I like this project. However, there are a few aspects of short positions that I don't quite understand. For example, when I want to sell ETH (short it), but there's no one in the market willing to buy my ETH, I don't understand who would be the counterparty for these types of deals.

Secondly, I am concerned about the reliance on only Uniswap oracles. Relying on a single oracle can be dangerous, as the price from that oracle can be manipulated.

Thirdly, I'd like to explain why I rated it 4 stars. Since trading will be based on smart contracts, I see a potential issue with time lag. Given the delay in the execution of a deal, traders may need to wait until their position is updated. Consequently, their position could be liquidated or opened at a higher price due to the lag in block execution on the blockchain. Nevertheless, the idea behind this project is good.

Marginly is a super promising project created by a team from EQLAB which describes itself as "a software engineering house specializing in permissionless applications that serve the decentralized Web for more transparent and effective markets."

Operating predominantly as a margin trading & derivatives app, Marginly allows users to take up to 20x leveraged long and short positions across different DEXe's such as Uniswap, SushiSwap, Curve and Balancer, with, it seems, more to come in the future. Users can also earn passive income by providing liquidity to pools with the Bicoin/USDC pool on the testnet boasting yields of 68/05%.

The project creators state they are seeking to start out simply with the app, using Unswap V3 oracles to make it fully decentralised. After mainnet launch, the focus will be on  the Ethereum, Arbitrum, zkSync, Polygon and Binance Smart Chain chains. Going forward, however, the team plans for move away from Uniswap interfaces and introduce more chains.

I've played around with the testnet and it all looks pretty clean and easy to use. It is also available to use on mobile which makes trading on the go easy and efficient.

Integrated with well-known DEXes and AMMs like Uniswap, SushiSwap, and Balancer, Marginly offers a broad trading spectrum. I really like Their “How-to” section which has 13 articles on how to use their mobilefirst app (I found super easy to navigate)

However, a note of caution the team behind the project hasn’t fully disclosed their identities, or none I could or have found yet. On the flip side, they’ve garnered an impressive following with more than 30k Twitter followers, 20k on Discord, and over 1,800 DAU (daily active user). . Additionally, the mainnet balance stands at a noteworthy $25 million.

I am very interested to understand how the No Liquidation mechanism works, and I think this would require an AMA.

Marginally is an impressively well-conceived project which is providing pick axes to DEXs for the current DEX perpetual contracts, margin and spot trading gold rush that is ongoing.

The striking thing about this project which shows me they are truly in it to enhance the user experience + improve the tech is that they have not created a token. I’ve said it many times - so many projects in this space do not actually need a token economy and it is refreshing to see a project with this approach.

Marginally's innovative features, including risk segregation, a liquidity infinity pool, and upcoming additions like deleveraging and order routing, are all geared towards enhancing user experiences and minimizing the inherent risks of leveraged DEX trading.

The project has already established partnerships and integrations with prominent DEXs such as Camelot, Kyberswap and Trader Joe to list a few, which bodes well for its future prospects. With promising plans for future versions, Marginally appears to be on a trajectory of continuous expansion and improvement in my opinion, I am very excited to see how their journey progresses and what they can further achieve in the DEX world.
