Despite giving 4 stars and 5 stars in idea and technology, I had given Venom 3 stars overall. While great marketing and a great testnet experience speaks for the project, there's strong reasons I wouldn't buy into it.
First is its already super high price before launch. In my experience projects with millions in VC funding have big launches, but die a slow death after that, as all this money needs to be recovered. The projects that I've seen doing the best are fair launches with barely any investors that start with very little and grow from there. I keep my hands off of any projects with big name investors like sequoia and a16z.
Second, I've had a very bad personal interaction with two Venom team members which revealed very little enthusiasm for decentralization. Compared that with Kaspa where we encountered huge passion and enthusiasm. Show Less
