One of VeChain's co-founders, Jay (Jie) Zhang, formerly held the role of CFO. He played an instrumental role in designing the VeChain governance framework. In December 2019, a hack occurred for which he took full responsibility, subsequently leading to his reported resignation from the CFO position. Before joining VeChain, Jay Zhang had notable tenures at Deloitte and PwC spanning more than a dozen years.

Kevin Feng, a partner at VeChain and former COO, joined the project with a wealth of experience, having spent over 12 years at PwC. His expertise lies in risk assurance and cybersecurity, and he was a key figure in shaping PwC's blockchain services. Kevin Feng decided to step down from his role for "personal reasons" towards the end of 2020.

Antonio Senatore assumes the role of CTO at the VeChain Foundation while concurrently serving as the General Manager of the Irish branch.
