One area where the Unizen project seems to face big challenges is in growing and maintaining an active community. Despite having significant ties and strategic partnerships with established blockchains & DEX’s, as well as being featured in prominent platforms like WSJ, Forbes, Coin Telegraph, and CoinDesk, they have not fully leveraged these resources to maximize exposure. The CMO, Alson Liu, brings over 15 years of experience in digital marketing and has been a core member of successful blockchain projects such as Huobi and MEXC, where he also serves as CMO. However, it is possible that Alson's involvement in these other projects could be affecting his ability to dedicate sufficient attention to Unizen to help bring it the exposure it needs.
Disappointingly, considering that the project has been active since 2020, their Twitter following remains relatively small, with around 35K followers and limited interactions and engagement. Additionally, their main Telegram channel has only 8K members, and Unizen’s small support Telegram channel seems to attract scammers posing as admins, potentially preying on unsuspecting victims. Recently, one of our own Cryator members had a close call with a scammer on this channel but managed to avoid falling victim as he was far too savvy to be caught off guard. It is worth mentioning once he got through to the mods and devs who were on hand to help with his issue, they were extremely helpful and it handled it quickly.
It appears that improving community building efforts, enhancing marketing strategies, and implementing more proactive measures to ensure a safe online environment are areas that Unizen should address in the near future in order to build a bigger and more engaged community around their project.
