Economic data such as CPI is subject to manipulation, such as changing the parameters of spending weights and as a result, allows for under-representation that favours the reports - and the truth figures seen in real life are always not reflected. However, Truflation aims to provide TRUE and accurate data that corrects for actual inflation reports, via oracle feeds and also provides daily updates for tracking compared to waiting for the end of the month for reports.

Their version of CPI takes into account 12 categories compared to 6, and also have different weights compared to traditional calculations, providing a more accurate representation of current inflation trends. They also allow you to look at every single category and see the changes for 1D, 1W, 1M and 1Q.

Governance of the project is via their token, but I do not see what governance/votes the token holders will be voting for. I would assume examples would be category weightages.

The project also has extremely strong backing and success, having won a $100k inflation challenge by Chainlink, and work with globally renowned data partners such as Statista. Show Less
