My initial thoughts even before reading about this product was that it was a green blockchain product. Boy, was I wrong! Instead, it's an attempt to be a first mover in the Real World Asset (RWA) tokenization for the timber industry, which is known to cut down more trees faster than it can replant them.

On this platform, plots of land with trees at various ages are tokenized as NFT partial-ownership deeds. You don't own the land or the trees, but a share of the future profit realized from those trees. While the trees are still alive, the NFT can be held or traded, going up or down in value based on market factors. Basically, you are betting on the future death value of young trees.

I think I'll pass. RWA has great potential, but so far, most projects look like Web2 trying to reinforce old industry practices, just with tokens. Show Less
