I was scammed...again! Yes, it happens to the best of us, and usually when we least expect it. I was in a Telegram group, captivated by the buzz around an arbitrage opportunity that promised a 10-12% premium for ETH on a specific exchange.
The initial tests seemed flawless. I started small, arbitraging $10, then $50, and even $500 with no issues. There were no problems with KYC or transfers in or out. But when I attempted another $500 transfer, everything changed. Suddenly, I needed to complete KYC to withdraw. I verified, but still couldn’t withdraw my funds. Slowly, it dawned on me that I had been scammed!
The emotional rollercoaster that follows such a realization is brutal. Anger, guilt, frustration, betrayal—anyone who has been scammed knows these feelings all too well.
