Fixing an incentivization problem.
This platform is now on my radar big time, and I give this idea FIVE out of FIVE stars!
Today I was fortunate to listen to and meet David Lancashire, a Berkley graduate and one of the two co-founders of Saito. He spoke at a local meetup in Phuket, Thailand, where he now lives. His knowledge of the current state of blockchains and the inherent problems facing them was fascinating.
Saito aims to solve a major challenge in the current blockchain space: incentivization.
In most Proof-of-Work (POW) and Proof-of-Stake (POS) networks, only the miners or validators receive rewards, which does not incentivize them to share the block and provide better scalability to the network.
Saito takes a unique approach to incentivization by rewarding not only the miners or stakers but also the nodes on the network. By doing so, the nodes are incentivized to perform "Routing Work" and provide better access and service to the applications running on the network. This results in better scalability and overall network benefits for all users.
Saito holds multiple patents, and if successful, Saito has the potential to become one of the top blockchains in the coming years.
