The whitepaper is quite hard to follow, but here are some great components:
- decentralized web hosting. It's already working for the games hosted in their arcade.
- Smart contracts are executed on layer 2 allowing for much higher scaling.
- They also present a way to delete old sections of the blockchain, allowing for higher scaling.
- A unique consensus mechanism that solves "tragedy-of-the-commons" and "free rider" problems of other chains.
How they deal with interoperability is an open question.
