I've put about 30 min into researching Qortal. Feels more like a cult than a real project.
The website mentions the original intention of Satoshi a lot, but his whitepaper was focused on solving a problem, not rambling about global disfunction. The main video on their website is very off-putting, as are the ones on their YT channel.
They're aiming to rebuild a decentralized version of the internet from scratch, making them an ICP competitor. I like the idea of a decentralized internet, but don't feel that Qortal has a serious or capable enough approach. The Co-founder who rambles on YouTube a lot studied 1 year of Business management. Doesn't seem very qualified.
I like that they explain specific ideas on their website and they probably have lots of infos in their wiki. But I couldn't find a whitepaper, Coingecko listing or any of the usual things I look at. They have an explorer, but no charts. If I'd see a healthy usage chart I might change my mind on this. Show Less
