Qortal now allows you to open shops on their platform. It's still early stage, so it's a little rough around the edges. But it works and people are starting to do transactions.
It could be a great decentralized alternative to sites like eBay or Shopify. The transaction fees are very low and you can get QORT (the native coin) by trading in from cryptos like LTC, BTC, DOGE and others, on their private peer-to-peer atomic swaps exchange.
Other recent progress includes the addition of an email-like encrypted messaging system, audio publishing platform (think decentralized Spotify) and a blogging platform. They are also working on a video sharing platform to be called Q-Tube.
All of this data will reside on their Qortal Data Network (QDN), which uses the nodes to store data (think decentralized Amazon S3).
The progress of the project is slow (because of limited resources) but steady, and they are rolling out new updates all the time. I'm really impressed with the progress they are making. Show Less
