I checked out Grove Coin (GRV) because of Kawin’s 5 star review, but encountered lots of issues.
The website is a lot of word salad. Lots of talk about sustainable finance (whatever that means) and nothing about the cool green products Kawin mentioned.
This is their mission statement (partial) “aim to reduce the environmental impact of digital currencies”. This usually means going proof of stake, or proof of authority in their case, but there’s a million chains including ETH that already does this.
PoA is very concerning as only approved people/businesses can be validators, which makes it not very decentralized.
The website is pretty, but has a lot of bugs. On the phone I wasn’t able to access the whitepaper and the prominent YT link leads to a broken page.
Also the website is all about staking, investing and making money quickly, which feels more like pandering to gullible crypto newbies rather than a serious approach at solving an environmental problem through blockchain.
They get 2 stars instead of one because of a doxxed CEO and a likable YT host that makes educational crypto content. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt for that. But i’d want to hear a lot more about the cool green tech they support and how it integrates with their chain and token before I could support this project. Put this stuff on your homepage. Din’t make me spend hours sifting through broken parts of your docs in the hopes of finding your most important information. Show Less
