This is just a short review to comment on some stuff I noticed while researching Filecoin for creating a potential infographic. It's not an in depth review and I haven't researched their marketing efforts in detail. But I wanted to report my findings anyways. I think there's value in reporting anything we find and we should let any insights go to waste, even if we're not ready to write a full in depth review.
Positive: They have a super cool and very professional introduction video that's build into their website. It explains their tech really well and inspires a lot of confidence. Their social media is buzzing with lots of high quality animations. The only video I've started watching on YouTube showed well spoken tech guys that explain their achievements and roadmap without hype. Overall, I think they have a very likable, no nonsense and sincere approach which is rare in crypto. It's nice to see this style everywhere on Filecoin, indicating that they've cultivated a healthy corporate culture.
Negative: I couldn't find a chart showing how much data is being stored and called. They have lots of explorers, but they only show things like gas fees, etc. They have the data, as it was shown in the only video I've watched (img1), so why not show a graph on the main page that shows the amount of files stored and called? Isn't this the most important information for potential buyers of their coin? It's a shame, because they would qualify for best in class marketing in my view if they showed that info. If they add such a chart I'll revise my rating to 5 stars. Show Less
