Cosmos

$ATOM

In order to determine whether or not we should buy ATOM, we first need to understand the landscape of possible growth for this project in the future.

Currently, there are two major directions for the development of the entire blockchain ecosystem as a whole: Appchains vs ZK Rollups.

The first conceptually represents the idea that anyone can build their own blockchain, but they are interconnected on the so-called layer 0. Examples of such blockchains include Polkadot, Avalanche, and of course, Cosmos.

The second direction is the path that Ethereum is taking, with many Layer 2 solutions built using rollups that interact with the parent chain in various ways.

We will not be discussing the advantages or disadvantages of either approach at this time, as that is a topic for a separate article. What is important for us is that there is now a conceptual battle between these two directions, and since Cosmos is the absolute leader in the first direction, we need to make a bet on the development of the entire industry and have a stake in both so that we can end up in a positive position no matter which option ultimately wins.
