El Salvador and Paraguay have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to cooperate on cryptocurrency regulation.
This is El Salvador's second such agreement in three months, following a similar deal with Argentina.
The agreement aims to facilitate cooperation between the two countries' regulatory bodies in detecting and controlling unlicensed crypto operations and strengthening anti-money laundering practices.
El Salvador's National Commission of Digital Assets (CNAD) is considered to have one of the world's most robust crypto regulatory frameworks.
While Paraguay's central bank clarifies that cryptocurrencies are not currently registered or authorized, this agreement signifies a step towards establishing a more regulated crypto environment in Paraguay. Show Less
