So as we all know the supply of Bitcoin is limited and that's what makes it so valuable. However the total supply still unmined or otherwise untouched has just dropped below 1.2 million. Out of the total 21 million coins that means only 5.71% is left, soon every single bitcoin will be owned.
The clock is ticking for miners and I'm curious to see what will happen to the price when the scarcity starts to really ramp up and people start to notice how much time is left.
(Edit) The number of Bitcoins issued will likely never reach 21 million due to the use of rounding operators in the Bitcoin codebase. Show Less
