A new crypto scam uses publicly shared seed phrases to bait opportunistic thieves. Scammers post comments on YouTube finance videos claiming to need help transferring USDT and include a wallet’s seed phrase. The wallet appears to hold $8,000 in USDT but lacks the TRX needed for transaction fees.
When someone tries to send TRX to cover the fees, the tokens are rerouted to a different wallet controlled by the scammers. The wallet is a multi-signature setup, preventing unauthorized transfers.
