Arbitrum DAO member proposes $120 million recall from gaming fund that missed deadlines

The Arbitrum DAO’s Gaming Catalyst Program (GCP), created to boost gaming on the network, is facing criticism for missed deadlines and poor communication. Launched in June 2023 with a budget of 225 million ARB tokens, the program has fallen short of key goals, like issuing grants and setting up a website. DAO member Joseph Schiarizzi proposed pulling 220 million ARB tokens back to the treasury, not to end the program, but to push for more transparency. Offchain Labs’ CEO, Steven Goldfeder, admitted there have been delays but said progress is ongoing, with biweekly meetings held.
